August 20th

Hey,
I am doing great. I am also feeling good no problems have yet to occur just obeying the mission rules so there is no need to worry as we obey the Lord will protect us. Jinja is a great area I have really been loving it here there are a few things that we are working on including getting all the families to come to church because it is usually just the husbands who come and not so much the wives and children so we are still working on building everyone and getting them ready to all come to church. We had some good investigators come to church one being a guy named John and he has been very willing to listen and he came to church this Sunday he didn't come with his family, but he came and it was a good step and we will be seeing him again soon. Also we taught a high councilman and his son 12 years old has not yet been baptized so we are also now teaching him and I am super excited to teach him and I pray that all goes well.  We have been teaching a guy named Patrick and he came and he is awesome and has been a huge strength we have taught him and he loves the gospel his family is pretty far and he has a wife and a few kids and he is really interested. Also we have been teaching a guy named Francis and he is great and has been loving the message he just asks us to teach him so he can get some spiritual help so he is doing well. Their is a few others such as Ogollah Justin and some other families we are teaching hoping to help them with the gospel, but families are somehow difficult to get all together all at once ha. We are striving to meet with families and build the members here in Jinja it has been something that we are striving to work hard and even pray harder. We met with Branch President again and we are coming up with some plans that would be able to strengthen the area and mainly get these families coming together to church. When Investigators come they probably think it is a mans church. So we will be doing a lot of strengthening a building. Also striving more to go on more splits to help the missionaries in the Zone that are having a difficult time right now. So we have a lot to get done and a lot of ways to strengthen the area. We are still striving to find people and most especially families right now and find those Less active families and bring in the part members and it is a great work. I have been truly loving missionary work and building those who need our strengthening. This week we were supposed to have Mormon Helping Hands and because of the place they went to the missionaries in Jinja were not allowed to go. We also had Zone trainings this week and they went great I love the spirit that is always present when we go to those! I truly am inspired each and every single time that Mission President trains. So we are working and having a great time while doing it I am so grateful to be a servant now and I know that this time is a great time to give all I have and I am striving to better and better every week. Today we aren't doing too much for Pday I think it is going to be another day of just getting things ready for next week. So I am excited for the upcoming week and the time we have to serve!
It is good to hear that everyone back home is good and safe. Thanks for the support and strength Hope everyone has a great week I love you all!

August 13th

8-13-12
Hey,
I am doing great this fine August day.  It doesn't really turn colder here, it rains a little bit more because it is wet season. There isn't really a certain season that it is cold or super warm it always just depends usually the hottest time is from January to March, now it is pretty nice.  For P-day today we will email and shop clean the house and maybe play some sports, but nothing much really.  Today we don't really have much planned just to relax. The Branch is doing well and there is a lot of need to help it continue to grow and to be strengthened so I am glad to be here and use the time and talents the Lord has given me to help build the branch. The new apartment is nice it is a little smaller and it is just me and my companion and we enjoy it.  This week went really good I liked it a lot we worked hard and met some new people like Ogollah he came to church which was awesome he is from Lira. We met with some new families who have ran into missionaries before, but they have truly sparked an interest as we have shared with them. We are also working with the part member families and we have a guy who is in the High council here whose son who is 12 not yet baptized and a few of his daughters so we hope to be sharing with them also. I am excited to be here I love the work here in Jinja really nice place and great people. This week we have Zone Leadership trainings and we are planning on helping some of the members in the Zone and in our area truly work with the Recent convert Less actives and find some RC/LAs we are really trying to bring people back to the church with the branch reactivation and it may take some time to do so. I know we can do it I have an awesome companion and we have truly grown a ton while being here. I have learned some valuable lessons on the priesthood and just improving myself continually from day to day. I have seen how my companion has been strengthened through some certain things that have been able to help me out. So we have been having a really spiritual time and yeah not always easy but it is always worth it in the end. The Branch President is really awesome and powerful guy and has a huge desire to help us along with the rest of the branch. So I sent you some pictures that is our District doing a service project it is pretty awesome. This week is also Mormon helping hands week here so I am also excited to go and do that to help the people here in Uganda who need my help. So I am doing great loving it here and I will continue to serve to the best I can. We found a few other families John Mulondo is a really nice guy with a great family and I am hoping that he can make it to church. We met this mother Agnis and her daughter Emma and man have we had a really good lessons with them no one could doubt the feeling of the spirit as we taught them. She has a husband who works all the way in Mbwarara and it is hard to teach them without the whole family, but the mom and son seem very ready hopeful we can teach the Dad soon. Another family John and his wife and man they had a ton of questions for us and have really felt the spirit with the lessons we have had they will just need to take time to learn and know more. So we are doing great and still pushing ourselves to build this area in Jinja the best way we can.
It was so good to hear from you and I am glad everyone is doing well and I hope everything continues to go well. I love you all and hope everyone has an awesome week!

August 6th

Hey,
I am doing great this week! Leaving an area is not easy especially when you get so attached to the members and Investigators and all those who are there it felt like the time I spent in each area went by super fast especially Mutungo. I have loved each of the areas I have served and it is so amazing! I really will miss each one of them, but I know I will see them again someday. Jinja, the area I am now in,  is a beautiful area and the members are awesome. I got to see the Hydro Dam and man it truly is so beautiful if Dad had the chance he should totally come see this Dam. He would love the people here so much the Branch is so nice here and the people are very warm and receptive to anyone. The people that come from America each one of them fall in love with the people that are here because they are so friendly and fun to be around so that is a huge blessing! Yes I am still a Zone Leader and somehow a District Leader with my companion at the same time with the sisters so it is pretty weird but still awesome we have a hard working Zone and District so I am excited to be with each one of them! I am with Elder Chauya from Zimbabwe I have had a lot of companions from Zimbabwe so far, he is from the same group as Elder Shinga and Elder Dubula so I have served with a lot of their group and it has been a great experience. I really like Elder Chauya I get along with him so well he is one of those guys who made a huge change in his life and now is such a powerful missionary and person very easy to get along with and to spend time with so I feel I have had so many awesome companions they are all amazing in their own ways and have helped me so much in every aspect of my life it is weird to see how the Lord can put a specific companion to help build you and strengthen you! So right now we aren't teaching a ton of people and that is something we are going to work on is building the Jinja branch and the Branch President is ready to help us to reactivate those who are less active. So I am very excited for this transfer and I know all will go well as we thrust in our sickles and get to work I know it is only through our Heavenly Father that will help us provide a way! So I am just getting to know the area and now it is time to go to work and I have a great hope about this time I have to be here in Jinja!
It sounds like everything is going great back home! Can't believe it is already time for Dallin and Cheltsea to have their baby, I am very excited about that!  I am glad everyone is doing well I love each and every one of you and miss you!
