Hey,
I am doing great this week I am now just in a different type of busy now. It is strange ha. The main thing this last week was we were able to do exchanges and that was awesome I went with Kabowa Zone Leaders and we were able to find some great people and even an awesome family the mom Christine her husband died awhile back she has five kids and she is very humble and nice her and her family are very smart. We were able to meet two of the kids Ark (20) and Desire (15) they were super smart they were from the west part of Uganda and those guys are smart humble people. When we taught them they seemed super interested also so that was great! Another great thing about it was that I got to know Elder Hofheins and Elder Mabunda a little better some great missionaries and they are hard workers. So I was grateful to go with them and serve them. This week also President had to do some interviews with the missionaries here so we talked with them and we got to see how they were doing also. So it was a good week still learning so many great things from my companions they are really great Missionaries. The days are going by that is for sure and I am loving every minute of it. this next week should even be more interesting we are going to Gulu and Lira for exchanges and I am excited for that also it will be the first time for me to go there. So I am excited to be with the missionaries there and the work should be great. I have heard a lot about these areas so it should be great.
Well so far only one box received with the gifts and I probably will be getting the other one tomorrow. Well thanks for the email and the updates I love you and am grateful for you all! Glad everyone is doing great! Love you all Hope you have a wonderful Christmas! Talk to you soon!

Hey,
Its my first week in the office super different then what I am used to ha. Before I was used to walking the streets of Uganda teaching and other things, but now it is a little new. Also we had the chance to pick up the new missionaries super awesome experience they have a special feeling when they first get off that plane and it is great to feel the spirit they have. We had new missionary trainings and it was super awesome and spiritual. On the morning of the trainings there is a new missionary named Elder Grilliot and he woke all of us up early by shouting "Elders somethings wrong with the bathroom!!!" We wake up just a little before 6:30 and we see one of the things to keep the water flowing correctly all busted and water was going everywhere and we are standing around and have no idea how to fix it. We had to get a member Isac to go climb up a long later to turn it off. That is the only way there are some big water tanks outside so he had to turn it off. So that was something funny for the week I felt bad for Elder Grilliot what a great welcome to Uganda ha. We then had training for the new missionaries and it was so powerful to hear the their testimonies it is a powerful group. They will be great leaders that is for sure. Then throughout the week we did office things and planned with President Jackson what we will be doing for the rest of these few months. We will be traveling a lot too so we will see how that goes I know it will be great. We also have some good plans for exchanges with the missionaries I am excited for that too! Another great part of the week we got to see the opening of a new Branch in Lugazi and it seems like it is going to be super awesome! They are going to have some great leaders there. It was a special experience that I am glad I had the opportunity to see and the great spirit that was felt. Each of the people there bore their testimonies and they are super excited for this and ready for the new challenge. They will do great.
I know that this is where the Lord wants me to be and that he will guide me and help me in this new assignment and I thank you for the advice that was given I know it will help me out so much. I am very grateful for all that you do in sending me emails encouraging and helping me. I got one of the packages and the others I know are on there way so I will wait. What I was thinking that I could do is help some of the African missionaries who don't really get emails or packages and give some few things to them and I believe that will be really neat. So that is my game plan along with giving to some members who are in need. I am so grateful for the great examples that you all are to me I love you all and I am grateful for each and every single one of you and love you all so much! Love

Dear Brother and Sister Hildreth,
We are pleased to inform you that your son Elder Russell Hildreth has been assigned for a season to be an Assistant to the President, in the Uganda Kampala Mission. He is working with two other Assistants, Elder Omondi and Elder Flinders.
This assignment is the highest leadership responsibility a Missionary can have in the Mission. An elder who is called to be an assistant is one who has proven himself worthy by his diligence, ability to teach, willingness to serve and exactness in obeying mission rules, devotion to the Mission and to the Lord. Elder Hildreth meets all these qualifications. He has a wonderful spirit and is a great example to his fellow missionaries.
We express our deepest gratitude to you for helping to prepare Elder Hildreth for this calling. You can be very proud of him and his efforts in the Uganda Kampala Mission. This opportunity will bless his life and prepare him for future service in the church.
We send our respect and love to your family.
Sincerely,
President Eric C. Jackson

Hey everyone,
Yeah its going to be another great Christmas I am super excited to have another one in Uganda. This week everything went great it is my last time to be in Jinja so that was the sad news. I am now with my former companions Elder Flinders and Elder Omondi to be a Zone Leader, so that is my new assignment that I have and I am pretty nervous for it we will see how it goes. The Lord calls us in our weakness to give us strength that is for sure. We had a meeting yesterday as you know and it went really well it was a super inspiring meeting and some more of our brothers have become Zone Leaders. This week I knew it was transfers and I thought I would stay in Jinja but I got a call on Friday as we were walking to Kimaka and it was President Jackson and he told me I would be needed in the office so that was super nervous for me and then I was told I would be leaving on Sunday so I thought at least I would be able to say bye, but nope I was called Saturday at 2:30 pm saying I need to have everything ready by 6:30pm to leave with President Jackson because he would be by himself and needed someone to drive with him. It was a great drive I will miss Jinja a lot though it was a great area. I loved working with the members in Jinja they were so friendly I hope I get to go back and say bye to them because I wasn't able too. So this week was pretty interesting in that sense. It was good to be with Elder Chaparadza for that short time he is a great missionary and I was privileged with the opportunity to work with him. So last week we were able to find some new people, but I don't know if they came to church. I know I left Jinja in great hands. I know I will now be learning a lot from President and my former companions. So it should be a great time and I am excited to learn about the missionaries also. I know this is a new form of work for me and I pray that I will be what the Lord needs to be at this time. I am grateful for the trust he put in me for this assignment and I will be my best.
Well thanks so much for the email glad everyone is ok it is sad to hear about Travis and Hudson, but I am glad that they are getting better. Well I love you very much everyone and wish everyone a great week!
