July 31st

Hey,
I am doing great! The work is truly blessing the people here and I have seen it in so many ways! So I have sent some pictures of the baptisms we had with John and his family they are John, Abbey, Yeckolamu, Joshua, and Leah. Yes Abbey is a boy and Leah is the daughter the mom has been a long time member and has even been to the Temple with her parents and now her husband and her family have accepted to join the church. What a wonderful blessing the lord truly. The  transfer finished well and I was so happy that the Lord allowed me to be there for that and to be his tool in bringing joy into their family life through the Gospel of our savior Christ. So it was a wonderful experience and such a blessing loved it!
It was transfers and I am leaving I am going to Jinja to be with Elder Chauya and I am super excited to be his companion I have kind of worked with him before and I got to meet him a little and now I am super excited to work with him and to get to know him more! He is from Zimbabwe and he is a powerful missionary with a great testimony of the Plan of Salvation! I know I will be blessed to work with him in Jinja. I am sad to leave Mutungo the Branch was really awesome and I loved being able to work with each and every single one of them they truly strengthened me and were a great group of saints! I will miss the place so much, but I know that I have been called to work in Jinja and that is where the Lord needs me to learn something. At first I was really sad to leave the people of Mutungo but I know that the Lord needs me in another place to continue to strengthen me in different areas and to strengthen those in Jinja. I finished my transfer strong in Mutungo and I know they have a good foundation for their next transfer. So I have been told about Jinja that everything is going well there and we have a good foundation and even that the Zone is doing great so I am super excited.
I am doing great! I am so glad for the prayers and all the love of my family and the ward tell them thanks! I love you guys very much and don't worry about me everything is going great and I know the Lord watches over all of us always!

July 23rd

Hey everyone
I am doing wonderful this week. I really had a great week we worked hard. It wasn't necessarily the best week we have had, but it truly was a really good week I have seen the hand of the Lord in many things this week and how he truly does look after his children and wants the best for them. Johns family weren't able to be baptized this week Sister Mary lost her Uncle in the Village so John needed to go with her so he wasn't able to be baptized. He did say his daughter Leah and his brothers Abbey, Joshua, and Yecko could but  we thought it would be best if he was the one to lead so we had to postpone the baptism and it was a good cause because this Saturday not to many people showed up to the baptism for the other missionaries baptism and I know they wanted a memorable baptism and it wouldn't have been if the family was baptized separately so we decided to postpone it to next week. Also this Sunday we had a good turn out mostly because the stake came to the branch to help build it and strengthen it so it was really good. Eric is still doing well has come to church many times just still having some problems, but he has progressed so much the Atonement has helped him a ton from when we first met him to where he is now. Gerald is doing great and really has a sincere desire to learn and become really acquainted with the church so that is really awesome. Willie and Carrol are doing good didn't come to church mainly because the husband isn't back yet. So things are going well here in Mutungo. Still trying to find families that are ready for the gospel. The Branch is really progressing which is really good we have had many who weren't married have a desire to finally get married so the branch can grow. So it is continuing to grow and get stronger so what a blessing that is! We are still trying to build our retention to strengthen it and get it to the point it truly needs to be there are a good number of them that are having some very hard issues right now such as family members dying getting into false teaching and things like that so it is getting pretty difficult, but I know as we continue to share with them they well come back and all will be ok. We once again have brought the branch reactivation and fruits are already showing which is such a blessing. Well that is it now for Mutungo we are working hard to build Gods Kingdom here in Africa! So the zone is doing good still trying to build it and strengthen it to the point it needs to be and we are building each other through the hard times and good times. Well I love the gospel and I love sharing it with all those around me!
Thanks so much for the email it was great and I am glad everyone is having a good summer and doing well Thanks for all you do Love you guys!

July 16th

I am doing great this week! Had a really hard working week and the Zone is doing well too. This week we did a lot of finding and we found some pretty nice new people, like last night we found a family that seems pretty interested. We are really working hard and we are continuing to try to do better and better. We know it isn't by our hand alone we need the divine strength to help us in each situation and what a blessing that is. So we are hoping to have that part member family of Momma Mirrium baptized this Saturday it would include her husband John, Able, Yecko, Joshua, and Lea and even Augusta they are an awesome family and have been coming to church for three weeks and the Branch has been excited to have them. We weren't able to meet them last week except Monday, but we will be able to see them all this week to teach them all if it is the will of Heavenly Father. So they are awesome and have come a long ways. Also Gerald he was in Masaka this week pretty far away so we weren't able to teach him either but he is still progressing very well. Eric continues to come to church and he has changed so much he even got a good Haircut so he looks great now so that was a huge blessing. Even another investigator we have Jim and Antrea they used to go to school with Eric and they have seen a huge change of heart in him and now he is way better than what he used to be. Jim is a great guy and has come to church the past two weeks and has come to know that it is true. We also were able to meet a wonderful family next to John's and their names are Willie and Carrol and they came to church this Sunday and they really liked it so that was awesome! They have a few kids and they are pretty young still. The only hard thing with them is that Willie is sometimes gone even for months sometimes for work. So we are working hard to progress all of them, but we know that we need the Lords hand in this. This Sunday in Mutungo we had 132 people at church and even 17 were our investigators so that was crazy. We as a District have been really pushing ourselves, but not in our power it is the Lord that has given us these blessings and it was by the Lords hand that all of these great things happen. I am loving sharing the gospel it is such a privilege and I am grateful to share the testimony I have to the wonderful saints and children of God here in Africa. The Zone is even continuing to pick up and the missionaries have a great attitude to work hard so I am proud of them and hope that continues through the rest of the transfer.

July 9th

7-9-12
Hey,
I am doing great just really loving Uganda it is a wonderful place and has some great people what a blessing to serve here! This week it has been a bit busy with Zone Leadership Trainings with President and I had a really inspired time it was really good to hear from President and to hear all the trainings. So we had a really busy week with trainings and interviews, moving the mission office which I still think is the same address I will tell you if it changes. We had a really good Sabbath day.  Johns family showed up which was really good also Gerald and Eric. We had a good number of people at church and one of the really Less actives came back to church which was such a blessing her name is Sister Suzan and it was so nice to see her we have been working on getting her to come back since before I got here so that is pretty awesome. All of Poggy's family came and I guess they finally decided to get married, his girlfriend Hermione actually she finally decided to do so so I am so excited about that! Johns family is doing awesome we are really excited for the progress they have made and their willingness to come to Christ. Gerald has been hard to teach but he still comes to church we are doing our best to get him ready for that time. We somehow have a really hard time with Eric he is having a really hard time giving up some substances he is a great guy and has made a ton of progress he gave up his friends but just having a hard time has a hard time with these things. His brother though James has done very well and I am pleased with the progress he has made when we taught him he gave up everything right then and there what a blessing! So things are going great. We are trying to push ourselves the best that we can and strengthen the Zone the best we can. My companion is still awesome and has been able to help me so much and I am grateful for him and even Elder Blades and Elder Stewart are awesome. We do have some great Missionaries in the Zone just doing our best to inspire them to do their best! So we are just pushing ourselves here and I am grateful to be a missionary and I am grateful to be able to serve the Lord my God I know this isn't anything compared to what he has done for me, but I know this is the little I can do.
Well I am glad to hear all have had a great week and that you had a good time. I am glad all are safe and well hope you all have a great week I love you all so much thanks for all you do Love you lots

July 2nd

Hey,
I am doing great this week. Just got done with interviews from President Jackson and it was so powerful to be with him and his continued encouragement and strength. He told me to tell you he loves you guys!  So this week what a crazy week, it was our first time meeting with this wonderful part member family. The father is not a member, but just a few months ago he got in a serious accident, him and 3 others survived on a taxi with 16 people and it was such a blessing from the Lord.  He wasn't so accepting of the gospel at first, but now he has been really listening and is coming to know the truthfulness of this gospel. He is also wanting to share it with all his family we have shared with about 5 of his brothers.  What an awesome blessing for him and his family. We are looking for more part member families it  is the way to go! We also had some crazy days of driving lots of traffic driving is pretty interesting over here. We went on some exchanges with Elder Hull and his companion Elder Dimingu, they are great Elders just sometimes lack the confidence in themselves.  I have truly come to love those who i serve they are so wonderful in their own ways and I can kind of see a little of the love that the Savior has for each of us and our own potential which is so incredible he sees so much in us and loves us so much! Well I have seen them and have talked with them and have prayed for them and my love and desire for their happiness continues to grow it is so crazy when you have so many under your stewardship you grow to love them so much and we look at the Savior and all that he is over and so much love for us all beyond all comprehension.
In  Mutungo we have a two great guys James and Eric who are trying to change and become better then they are and it has been hard for them to leave their friends and their past, but I know that they can do it and be strong. Gerald is also doing good has a brother who is very stubborn, but that is ok Gerald is very humble and a great person. So those are a few of those we are teaching. Missionary work is so great and I am grateful to be here and to be a missionary it is such a wonderful experience!
The pictures I am sending is of the part member family when we did service for them. It was a really awesome time and they are great and fun to be around.
Well I would like to let each one of you know how much I love and care for all of you! Stay safe and stay strong with much love
